HEY ALL!
i am in portland oregon now so yeah!
let me tell you bout the journey to portland oregon:
i reached the airport at about 4+ then we checked in and went in.. we then walked around and look at the shops that were open but most of them weren't open so NO POINT! :D then we stopped at a coffee club and i had hot cocoa in a tiny little cup.. SO CUTE LAH! then we boarded the plane.. on the plane, we had our lunch and i chose omelette.. it was nice and i saved the blueberry yogurt for the next plane that we had to go on.. the flight was about 6 hours..
we stopped by at japan and we were in NARITA AIRPORT and we had to wait for 1 hour before the plane was ready for us to board so we had ramen at the famous UDON and RAMEN restaurant.. 1 bowl of szechuan ramen was 800yen and 1 bowl of charsiew mian was also 800 yen.. 1 yen= 100 US$= about $150 EXPENSIVE HOR?! hahas
then we boarded the plane at about 1.30pm.. the person that was sitting next to my mother was TASHIAKI CHIBA.. -.- there was also an angmoh that sat nxt to me and diagonally behind me that was very nice.. they were very friendly.. on the second plane, they served alot of food cause this flight was 9 hours.. buatahan!
i ate:
1) pretzels (snack)
2) chicken curry and bbq beef (dinner)
3) fruit cake (snack)
4) blueberry yogurt (snack)
5) blueberry danish with sliced fruits and strawberry yogurt (breakfast)
we reached portland, oregon at about 6.45am, 17 nov (US time) then we got our luggage and we took a shutte to the terminal.. then from the terminal, we had to go outside (where it was SUPER COLD) to wait for another shuttle bus.. while waiting, we realised that when we breathe, we could see our own breath! hahas -.- it was white.. CONDENSATION OCCURED! hahas..
then we boarded the shuttle bus and it brought us to a car rental area (ALAMO) we rented a full size car and we started our journey in portland!
in america, the steering wheel is on the left instead of the right and the direction of the cars go in the opposite direction from singapore so when my father drove out to the road, he drove on the wrong lane! thank god there wasn't any cars so we didn't crash! we drove and drove and we finally reached auntie fontain's house.. their house is so big.. the have a attic and a basement.. we reached their house in the morning.. it was a repeat of 17 nov.. :D:D
we stopped at denny's with auntie miuh tin to eat and the portion was so BIG! we ordered, club sandwich, chicken salad, nachos, cheesesticks and a seafood platter.. it was so much that we had to dabao! hahas :D
after that, we went to woodburn to shop but i was so tired that i didn't have any energy to look at stuff but in the end i did buy things.. YAY!
we went to claires and there was a lot of nice things but it wasn't as big as wad we thought it would be.. then we went to adidas but i didn't get anything.. we also went to nike and then to another shop.. i bought 3 shorts for 99cents each and a top for 2.99 it was so cheap there.. we then past by a candy shop and they had the most heavenly candy that you have ever seen.. we should be going back to get the candy as we didn't get it this time..
then we came back and had dinner.. auntie fontain cooked home made chicken rice for us and it was delicious.. we then washed up and watched tv.
will be going to sleep soon as it is already 10.45pm here! :D
